Case Study One
Multi Property Small Business Owner
Mr and Mrs Jones* had multiple properties and had bought a property off the plan and then Mr Jones was relocated overseas for work. His big 4 bank here in Australia had given him a pre approval but when it came time to complete the new purchase, the lender no longer wished to fund Mr Jones as their bank lending to expats policies had changed in the interim between when he had entered into the contract and when it came time to take possession of the property. After Mr Jones contacted us and subsequently put us in touch with his accountant, we looked at refinancing the other properties to release equity , and then with a very low loan to value ratio and the fact Mr Jones was actually moving back to Australia after his secondment, as we were able to get his loan completed on time with a low rate across all his lending facilities.

Case Study Two
Medical Professional Doctor
We had a Doctor Smith* who had a company, a trust, and multiple other structures in place. He wanted to buy his surgery using his super. No lender he had been to was able to understand his circumstances, of how his structures worked and he was worried all the legal and accounting advice he had paid for would be undone accidentally by lenders who didn’t understand how they worked. So he met with our broker and his accountant and we were able to explain the cashflows to the lender so it made sense and was funded and now his practise is doing very well, and if everything continues onwards, will be paid off by the time he retires.
*Smith is not his real name.
Case Study Three
Our client Mr Morgan*, was an up and coming successful IT professional who recently moved from being an employee with a company to a contractor. He also has spent some time odd travelling last year and so had multiple intervals in his work and had not saved much of a deposit but urgently wanted to buy a property as he wanted to marry his girlfriend and have somewhere to live together. So we found a lender willing to accept his unusual employment circumstances and we funded him into his own home. That was a few years ago. He now has 3 houses and two children with his lovely wife.

“My refinance with Model Mortgages went so smoothly, I was even traveling for work through a lot of the loan process and it didn’t slow things down. They were helpful, communicative and made everything so easy – Highly recommend, thank you!!!”Tania YukiCEO Shareablee
Model Mortgages got us through some major hurdles for our first property. They had the connections at the bank to get our application through in record time, and secured us a low interest rate.Rhys &Liz Blackburn
We have recommended them to several friends. What impressed me most was when they advised people that they were NOT ready. Some brokers don’t use any discretion and lock people into hard times.
We went through MM for a second house two years after the first one, and will stick with them for all our mortgage matters.
As a busy mother and doctor it was great knowing everything was taken care of in a quick and professional manner!Candice Jensen, Doctor

Ian Hughes has assisted us with a number of property finance matters in the last few years and we have no hesitation in recommending him. As busy working professionals, the value added to us has always been his in depth knowledge of the finance sector and available options- taking away much of the research and time cost we would otherwise have to wade through. He takes the time to know his clients and what is important to them and applies that to his advice and services. He is open and transparent, trustworthy, reliable and relaxed, and was there to guide us through each process and paperwork (and even smooth out the normal bank and finance sector hurdles when we were interstate at crunch time). His follow up service is second to none, and no matter how busy he might be, he returns calls and gives very personal attention and care factor. A+.Sandra Hutton
